Core Principles
The core principles for the DPHS Football Program are effort, habits, character, coachability, and accountability. These are five principles we want our athletes to leave our program with.
Effort - Effort is the one aspect of our lives we can control. Give 100% intentional effort in everything you do. For our athletes, this includes: academics, social life, on the field, in the weight room, etc.
Habits - Develop positive daily habits that will help with each aspect of your life. This means showing up on time, making decisions that will benefit yourself and the team, and taking care of our bodies.
Character - Demonstrating high character on and off the field, in the classroom, and in our community. Anything you do represents our program and Deseret Peak High School.
Coachability - Be able to show up every day and be taught by your coach. Take their advice and implement it on and off the field. Our knowledgeable coaching staff will provide sound advice that our players can implement.
Accountability - Be somebody that your coaches and your teammates can rely on day-in and day-out. Hold yourself accountable, hold your teammates accountable, and your coaches will hold you accountable.
